Principal's Message

Dear Arlington Elementary Parents and Families,
It is an honor and privilege to serve as the new principal of Arlington Elementary School and to join this extraordinary school community. I can assure you that I share in this school community’s vision to provide a safe, welcoming, and exceptional place for learning and student success. I want to officially welcome all of you to the 2022-2023 school year. I’m extremely optimistic about this upcoming school year and look forward to getting to know each of you.
With over 15 years of experience, I bring deep passion and commitment to empower and encourage students and staff to reach their full potential. Of those 15 years, 11 years were as a 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grade teacher at PGSD. For the past 4 years, I’ve served as assistant principal at Trent Lott Academy and Pascagoula High School. As a PHS graduate, I realize how blessed I am to be able to give back to PGSD.
I welcome families and community members to join us on our journey of continuous improvements. Together we will strongly push through the challenges that this school year will bring and together we will accomplish GREAT things!

Yours In Education,
Latoya Worthen, Ed. S.
